El Nido is a small town in the north of Palawan in the Philippines. This place is particularly popular because from here you can visit the stunning Bacuit Archipelago with one of the various day tours available. In this group of islands, you’ll find the most beautiful islands, lagoons, and snorkeling spots. From El Nido, they offer four different tours to different parts of the Bacuit Archipelago. You’ll see many beautiful spots during these tours, but they are quite touristy. The boats are very crowded, and at many spots, there are at least 5 boats and dozens of people in the water. Unfortunately, this makes it a bit less special. If you want to explore the most beautiful beaches besides these tours, rent a transparent kayak at the El Nido Boutique & Art Cafe and explore the nearby island of Cadlao. It takes about 3 hours to kayak to Cadlao Lagoon, and along the way, you can stop at six deserted beaches filled with palm trees. To our surprise, we saw monkeys and hornbills sitting in the trees here. With the transparent kayak, you can see the colorful corals on the bottom, and occasionally some tropical fish swim beneath you. Lovely, isn’t it?
