Croatia off the beaten track: Manojlovac waterfall in Krka NP

The Krka National Park is one of Croatia’s most crowded places, but 90% of the visitors only go to the famous Skradinski Buk waterfall. What almost no one knows is that there’s another beautiful waterfall you can explore with far fewer people around. If you don’t mind a bit of climbing and scrambling, you absolutely must visit the Manojlovac waterfall. Once you arrive at the waterfall, you’ll witness the water cascading down with force, and you can take a refreshing dip in the ice-cold water!

Update: We have heard that it is unfortunately no longer allowed to swim in the waterfall. It is still possible to take the hike to the waterfall, but you are only allowed to view it and no longer take a dive.

How to Get to the Manojlovac Waterfall?

To visit the Manojlovac waterfall, you’ll need your own car because it’s about an hour’s drive from the Skradinski Buk waterfall to the parking lot. You can park your car at this location. Then, follow the zigzag gravel path downhill. This will lead you to a dilapidated house that you literally have to walk through. From this point, it becomes a bit more challenging, and you’ll have to do some climbing. Make sure you wear sturdy shoes because the path can be slippery. Some parts are quite steep downhill, but there’s a rope to hold onto. Once you reach the bottom, you can jump right into the water. Be cautious not to get too close to the waterfall as the current can pull you under. You can also swim in another spot beneath a higher section of the waterfall. To do this, walk back uphill, through the little house, and once you’re back on the path where the bench is located, you’ll find a path leading up to the higher part. Below are some photos to help you find the right way to the Manojlovac waterfall. Take screenshots just in case you have no mobile network coverage there.

The entrance fee for this waterfall is 40 kuna for this waterfall alone or 200 kuna for the entire Krka National Park. You can purchase the ticket at the Manojlovac waterfall.
