We’ve searched for the best hotels in the locations you’ll visit if you’re following our Norway travel itinerary. At these hotels, you can count on a great stay and good value for your money. Great hotels & campings in Bergen

Citybox Bergen City
Citybox Bergen City is one of the best affordable hotels in Bergen. The Scandinavian-style interior is calming, and every detail is thoughtfully designed. Rooms feature comfortable beds, a rain shower, and fast Wi-Fi. The café next door serves delicious breakfast, but there’s also a shared kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. For the cheaper rooms, early booking is highly recommended.

Klosterhagen Hotel
Klosterhagen Hotel is another great base for exploring Bergen. In addition to the very friendly staff and comfortable rooms, the fresh Norwegian breakfast with local products is a big plus. The hotel is located in a beautiful neighborhood right in the city center.

Hanseatiske Hotel
Prefer to stay in the historic district? You can! Det Hanseatiske Hotel is located in a 16th-century wooden building full of history. Each room is unique and has its own rustic character. In the morning, you can enjoy an extensive breakfast buffet.

Lone Camping
Lone Camping is a lovely campground about 30 minutes (19 miles) from downtown Bergen. The campground is beautifully situated on a lake with mountains in the background. It offers clean and well-maintained restrooms and a shared kitchen. You can pitch your tent right by the water, and there are spots for RVs and caravans as well. If you check in early, there’s a good chance you can grab a scenic lakeside spot.

Blue House Odda
In Odda, the selection of accommodations isn’t huge, but Blue House Odda is one of the most budget-friendly options. You’ll stay in a comfortable apartment right in the center of Odda. The apartments come with a quality bed, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a TV with streaming services. A big plus: free parking is available.

Trolltunga Aparthotel
This next hotel isn’t in Odda itself, but in a nearby village called Tyssedal, which is very close to the starting point of the Trolltunga hike. Here you’ll find the charming Trolltunga Aparthotel. For a reasonable price, you’ll stay in a spacious and well-equipped apartment with a balcony. The view from this hotel is absolutely breathtaking!

Trolltunga Camping
Traveling with a tent, RV, or camper? Then Trolltunga Camping in Odda is the closest campground to the start of the Trolltunga hike. It’s beautifully located on a lake with a tall waterfall visible in the distance. If you prefer not to camp, you can also stay in one of the cabins available at Trolltunga Camping.

RoaldsPiren
Looking for a unique place to stay? RoaldsPiren, just outside Stavanger, offers a cozy wooden boathouse right on the water. After a day exploring Stavanger, you can unwind on the dock and watch the sunset. The entire boathouse is private—no other guests—so you’ll enjoy full privacy. Because of that, early booking is definitely recommended.

Mosvangen Camping
Traveling with a tent, camper, or RV? Mosvangen Camping in Stavanger is a great pick. This waterfront campground is just a 30-minute walk (2.4 kilometers / 1.5 miles) from the city center. The sanitary facilities are well-maintained and there are plenty of showers. A large swimming pool on-site is perfect for hot summer days. Keep in mind that this campground often fills up by mid-afternoon during peak season. Reservations are not possible.
