The Philippines

We’ve been in love with it for years and have visited this country three times. We just can’t get enough of it. There are countless paradisiacal islands to discover, but Palawan, especially the northern part of Palawan, is definitely one of the most beautiful. Think of pure white beaches, gigantic limestone rock formations, emerald green lagoons, and an amazing underwater world. Does this sound like music to your ears and are you up for some adventure? Then join the five-day expedition by TAO Experience. We did this and it was absolutely fantastic!

The Seychelles

North of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean lies an archipelago of 115 mega paradisiacal islands. We’re talking about the Seychelles, of course. This island group belongs to the continent of Africa and is world-renowned for its beauty. The Seychelles are still a truly untouched paradise because less than 1/3 of all islands are inhabited. The beach ‘Anse Source d’Argent’ on La Digue island is considered by many to be the most beautiful beach in the world. The white beaches are filled with characteristic dark gray granite rocks and countless palm trees.

The Komodo Islands

Komodo National Park in Indonesia is located off the coast of Flores Island and is a unique place on Earth. Komodo National Park is also an archipelago with dozens of paradisiacal islands with impressive landscapes. Some of these islands are inhabited by the 3-meter-long Komodo dragon, which only lives on this tiny piece of Earth. You may have seen the Komodo dragon in a nature documentary? Furthermore, Komodo National Park has much more beauty to offer. There’s a pink beach, one of the best snorkeling and diving spots in the world, and every evening during sunset, millions of flying foxes (bats) fly over the archipelago. Read about our experience and tips for island hopping in the Komodo Islands.

The Maldives

Say paradise, say the Maldives. The Maldives consists of 1190 islands, the largest of which is only 5 km². Many people plan their honeymoon to the Maldives, and it’s for a good reason. Here you’ll find super luxurious hotels often located on beautiful private islands, offering everything for a romantic stay. Think of flying to the island by seaplane or indulging in a luxury spa treatment.

Bora Bora

Last but not least: Bora Bora! Bora Bora is part of French Polynesia and is located in the South Pacific Ocean. It’s almost unrealistically beautiful! Actually, all of French Polynesia is mega paradisiacal. Visiting Bora Bora is a dream for many, including us. If you want to visit, you’ll need to save up because it’s definitely not cheap. A flight ticket from the Netherlands to this paradise costs at least €1500. Secretly, we don’t mind this because it’s one reason why few people visit the islands of French Polynesia, keeping its nature pristine.
